CenterStage is proud to announce our two titles of Season 2016; Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown'
Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast'
This timeless tale tells the story of a prince who is transformed into a hideous beast as punishment for his cruel and selfish ways, and an adventurous young woman named Belle whom he imprisons in his castle. In order to become human again, the Beast must earn Belle's love before it's too late. Music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and Book by Linda Woolverton. Presented through Music Theatre International.
The production runs from July 14 through July 23 at the Mercedes Edwards Theatre. Curtain times are 7:30 for evening performances, 2:00 matinee on July 16 and 23. Tickets will be available at the door, online via Brown Paper Tickets, and at our satellite ticket location at the Sierra Vista Mall.
The production will be directed by Scott Hancock. Auditions will take place in early May, 2016. More details to follow. Watch our page on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter: @ClovisCenterS
You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown
CenterStage Clovis Community Theatre, and our CenterStage Kids Program is pleased to announce our second show of Season 2016 - The classic 'You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown' will take the stage at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District in late July, 2016. Auditions will take place in early May, 2016 at Clark Intermediate (they will take place in conjunction with auditions for our Summer 2016 production of 'Beauty and the Beast', so kids will have the opportunity to audition for both shows - unfortunately, kids cannot take part in both productions because of overlapping rehearsal schedules). Rehearsals for 'Charlie Brown' will take place at Clark Intermediate and Clovis Veterans Memorial District. (Rehearsals will begin late June, evenings, from 6pm to about 9pm) It will be staged in the 350 seat auditorium at CVMD at the following dates and times:

We are excited to be in the planning stages of our next Season, and following the tremendous success of 'Mary Poppins' we're looking into possibilities of staging multiple shows and different venues. That said, we can't begin to plan unless we know there is interest in Directing and Designing these shows. If you are a Director, Designer or somebody who wants to possibly get into those fields (by being an assistant), now is the time to fill out a preliminary application with Centerstage for Season 2016.
